Our first taste of full time living

Wow! What a month it has been. I can honestly 100% say that I am ready for full time living. This was our big "shake down" trip and y'all definitely need to do one of these if you plan to go out on the road for an extended period of time or full time. This is VERY important and this is when all the fun stuff happens and things can break or go wrong with the rig. Document, document, document!!! We took pics of our issues, sent issues in email form to our sales guy and discussed them all in person. We do have a pretty big issue that we are waiting to hear back on. Fingers crossed we get good news this week. I wanted to write this blog so I could tell you about the places we stayed and visited. I am even going to drop the links to each, so you can check them out for yourself. I am a brat when it comes to staying in a safe and clean place, so rest assured, I won't just BS you about them. One thing I will suggest before you take off, do your research. We checked reviews,

Our first big adventure

This is the first opportunity I have had to sit, relax and watch TV since we have left town. We are running from sun up to sun down and the kids always hog the TV when they get their screen time. I finally told Brooke, it’s my turn, no more YouTube. Go do something! 😂 So, I have started working out daily and I have turned our eating habits around drastically in this house. We are doing more clean eating, organic and gluten free. I am on week two of an awesome program and I am seeing some really good results. I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel. I still get the kids their snacks, but now the junk is VERY limited. Nathan and I made a pact to lose 10 lbs by the time we got back to Dallas. Some are doing better than others, but he has been exercising some with me. I can’t wait to weight in when we get home. It’s so hard not stepping on a scale daily. I wanted to take a few minutes to finally write a little bit. YAY! We are going on week two of our trip to Missouri.

What has been going on in this crazy girls life?!?!

Hey friends! It's been a little over a month since I have posted, but I am back, well for the moment at least. I should be cleaning, BUT I don't want to. Today we went and bought our fifth wheel. It is really OURS now. We haven't brought it home yet since we don't have a place for it at the moment. If you are in the market for an RV, I highly recommend you go talk to Terry at RV Station in Tyler. He was amazing to work with and he didn't hassle us for a sale. He was VERY professional. We went with a Montana High Country and boy is she a beauty. I can't wait to give y'all a tour of the inside. I thought a little suspense was needed, so I won't share yet. (insert evil laugh) I knew this was all meant to be today when we were doing our walk-thru and a lady bug flew on the front of the rig as we walked up to it. Pretty cool if you believe in that kind of stuff. We got our truck to pull the rig as well. A 2016 Ford F350 Dually. It's a mean looking truck.

How do you prepare for this day?

I knew this day would come, but I always thought it would be later than sooner. I knew my son was planning to move out this year, we have talked about it a lot. Yesterday he called me at work and said him and a friend found an apartment and it is available the first of next month. He is going to look at it on Wednesday. It was cute when he said "I am going to dress nice and be professional because they don't like to give kids apartments". I was like "whoa, let's talk about this later" I can't be sad at work. I thought about it all night and it's still on my mind today. How do you prepare for this?? He is 20 years old, he is at the age where he needs to start his life. He just graduated college, has a good paying job and he IS ready. I on the other hand, am not! Tanner was my first born, he is the one who made me a mom. The one who was always there for me for 8 years, while I was a single mom. He was my first true love. He just doesn't kno

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas is over.

We finally took down the Christmas decorations today and the house is back to normal. It's always such a bittersweet time. This year even more so because we downsized a lot for the move. We went from 8 or 9 large tubs to 5. I have the hardest time getting rid of anything. I seem to think eventually I will use it again, even though it sits in a box year after year. Our move is really going to get my butt in gear to get rid of anything that is not needed. Why can't I take it all with me?!?! Believe it or not, I feel like I am more prepared for this move (at the moment) than I have been with any other. I know that is a shocker to all of you who know me and how much of a procrastinator I am! We only have a little over a month and a half to go before we put the house on the market. Fingers crossed we stay ahead of the game with the purging. (I feel like Rob Schneider is in my head repeatedly saying "You can do it".) Ha! :) Well, this was kind of a short and sweet post t
